on paper cranes

i’ve been obsessed lately in folding the perfect paper crane. i’ve been asked to do fliers/poster for a gig (my cousin asked me to) (she asked me nicely). it’s actually a huge project and i’m quite happy. yey. and as i was brain storming for a certain theme i came across paper cranes. so my color pallette would consist of asian-ish colors (red, black, white, more white) and of course a minimal layout.
anyway, i’ve been downloading dozens and dozens of tutorials. my favorite part in folding these babies are the creases. i love creases. and the way they help in making the crane look good.
i wonder how they make those cranes that can akshully flap their tiny paper wings? amazing.
the japanese are brilliant bastards. i hate them. they’re so good.
tonight i shall go and buy red paper for my paper beauties. the red paper with out the pulpy texture to be specific.
